Invisalign at Gatley Park Dental
The Invisalign system allows you to transform your smile discreetly and comfortably with virtually invisible removable braces. Invisalign aligners are transparent and custom-made to gradually straighten your teeth without using any metal wires or brackets.
The aligners look like clear, flexible retainers and are removable, so you can take them out when eating or brushing your teeth. If you’re considering braces to straighten your teeth, there are discreet options available, contact Gatley Park Dental Practice now for more information 0161 4283484

See your finished smile
Invisalign treatment uses ClinCheck 3D imaging technology, to assess your teeth and create your customised aligners.
Before your treatment starts, your orthodontist will be able to show you a digital representation of how your teeth should look once you finish your treatment.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
While there are many options to straighten your teeth Invisalign is the only clear option that is free of brackets and wires. Invisalign allows you to work, eat, and participate in social situations worry free! All while giving you a perfect smile. Invisalign has many benefits for the wearer such as, comfort and flexibility, below we will look at 8 of the many benefits Invisalign has to offer.
Invisalign trays are invisible! They are completely clear so they don’t detract from your face or smile. This is an especially great option for adults, teens, and young adults who want to live life without the brackets and wires associated with traditional braces.
Invisalign trays are made of smooth plastic making Invisalign much more comfortable than traditional metal braces. There are no sharp/extruding edges or pieces of Invisalign and the trays are custom made to fit your teeth and mouth!
Invisalign trays are removable – when you are ready to brush and floss your teeth just remove the trays, clean your teeth, then pop them back in. The trays themselves can also be cleaned! To make sure there is no build up just remove the trays and rinse or brush them with your toothbrush. A clean mouth is a healthy mouth! It is important to have healthy teeth and gums while straightening your teeth so you will have to best smile possible at the end of treatment!
With Invisalign you will be able to spend less time at the orthodontist or dentist’s office as they only need to be maintained every 6 weeks on average. Other teeth straightening options can take much more time and many more appointments.
Safe and Removable
Is your child or teen in sports or band? Invisalign allows for a more comfortable experience without the scrapes other orthodontic options can cause. Invisalign trays are also removable which makes brushing your teeth, eating, and everyday life more convenient than other options.
Eat Whatever You Want
Food restrictions are one of the worst parts about teeth straightening with many orthodontic options. Some of your favorite foods are off limits, which can really ruin a special celebration, anything too hard, chewy, or sticky is off limits! These issues are not a problem for Invisalign. You can remove the trays and eat whatever you want!
Better Dental Health
Straight teeth are better for your gums and dental health. Eliminating crowding and gaps makes it easier to care for your teeth, better dental health leads to better overall health.
Beautifully straight teeth
Possibly the best reason to use Invisalign.
How does Invisalign work & what is the process?
Here’s a step-by-step guide to Invisalign treatment
Visit us at Gatley Park Dental.
At your first appointment we’ll help you decide your course of treatment. The dentist will take digital impressions of your teeth and send them to Invisalign.
Making your aligners
3D imaging technology is used to transform your impressions into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners. There may be as many as 48 in the series or as few as 12, depending on your requirements.
Receive your aligners
During your next visit to Gatley Park, you will receive your first set of aligners. Your dentist will probably give you a few additional sets for you to wear before you return for your next visit.
Wear your aligners
You’ll wear each set of the aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. You’ll need to visit your dentist every six weeks to check that your treatment is progressing as planned. The total treatment time averages from 12 to 18 months.
Finish your treatment:
Your treatment ends when you have completed wearing each set of aligners. To help keep your bright new smile, you will wear retainers at night for six months, and then usually a few times a week as instructed by your dentist.
